Tolu is originally from Orlando and graduated as Salutatorian from Olympia High School. She attended college at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and she received her Master of Public Health and Medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her Pediatrics residency at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, including an additional year as pediatric chief resident. Following her chief resident year, Tolu was accepted into the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Epidemic Intelligence Service, which provides 2-year training in applied epidemiology.
Currently, Tolu is completing a CDC Preventive Medicine Residency where she is assigned to the Department of Health in Orange County and Orlando Health. In her spare time, Tolu enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and traveling.
