Senior Special Agent Reginald D. Young is a 29 year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives. Agent Young is a Graduate of the Florida State University College of Criminology. While at FSU, Agent Young was a member of the Student Senate and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Agent Young started his law enforcement career with ATF in 1989 where he was assigned to the Louisville Field Office. He transferred to the Orlando, Florida area in 1996 where he remains to this day. Agent Young worked mainly violent crime and specialized in undercover activity during his time in the Louisville Field Division. Since his transfer to Central Florida, Agent Young primarily worked firearms trafficking investigations for several years before settling into his current passion which is explosive investigations where he is currently ATF Orlando’s only Certified Explosives Specialist (CES). His work as a Special Agent CES also led to his assignment as a Task Force Agent with the Federal Bureau of lnvestigation (FBI), Joint Terrorism Task Force that he continues to this day. During his career, Agent Young has received several Special Act or Service Awards, a Unit Commendation Bar from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, and an ATF Hostile Act Award.
