Degrees in Mathematics and Psychology from the University of Connecticut provided him the tools to assess the relationship between consumer mindsets and sales performance. through his next level of study that earned him an MBA, Marketing Strategy degree from IBM Business Management School. A distinguished 28-year career in sales and marketing with IBM, culminating in his appointment as Director of Marketing and Chief Merchandising Executive, had many highlights, including taking the personal computer division to the retail market and growing it into a $2.3 billion line of business in just three years.

Alan founded Alliant Marketing Solutions as the next platform from which he could assist other companies in their quest to achieve managed and sustained growth. Through his wealth of experience and critical thinking skills, Alan has consulted and mentored numerous start-up ventures and existing businesses on their path to success. Serving in the role of Chief Operations Officer with Intelligent Business Systems Group, Alan helped grow the company from $1 million to $30 million in two years. He has served as Executive Director of the National Association of Entrepreneurs since May of 2012. He is a Mentor to the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubator Program as well as to the University of Florida’s Startup Quest Project. He is also a Co-Organizer of the Kauffman Foundation’s 1 Million Cups Orlando hosted at Rollins College.
