Building Smart Homes for Severely Wounded Heroes

Shane Johnson and Hike Across America’s Project – 11 cities, 11 states – carrying a 100 lb pack

Marine Corps veteran and Businessman, Shane Johnson, is Founder of Hike Across America. Shane completed his first hike across America, running from Orlando to Camp Pendelton, California, to inspire homeless veterans and raise awareness about veteran suicide. His journey covered more than 3,000 miles and nine states, with Shane speaking in 20-plus cities, passing out more than 10,000 hygiene kits to those in need, and raising more than $50,000 in nonprofit funds in 65 days. He did all this while continuing to successfully operate his four businesses.

Shane’s upcoming project is a 65 day run beginning on 9/11 in New York City and ending in central Florida partnering with the Gary Sinise Foundation to build smart homes for severely wounded heroes.  This project is about severely wounded Veteran’s that have success stories to tell.  Shane will be speaking in various cities along the way; interviewing veteran’s with stories to share, inspiring others to succeed, and finding those veterans and supporters to help one another.  Shane will also be breaking the Guinness Book of World records by running a sanctioned marathon carrying 100 lb. pack.

An inspiring sales coach, Shane has had numerous speaking and coaching engagements, including University of Central Florida's School of Business, GoDaddy, Caesar's Entertainment, Veterans Voice, and Clean the World. He has shared his inspiring message with major media outlets such as USA Today, iHeartRadio, WLOX 13, ABC 13, Real Radio 104.1, KLBK 13, Fox 34, the Tallahassee Democrat, Panama City News Herald, Orange Observer, and the Daily Record
